This encounter is two boss fight with each boss needing to be tanked apart and dps'ed down at about the same time. During the fight their are a number of elements that must be overcome to succeed.
Toth and Zorn is a two tank encounter.
The tanks must keep the bosses at least 30 mtrs apart to avoid the bosses gaining a damage buff that will wipe the raid when they are close to each other.
Every so often Toth will jump to Zorn, when he does this he inflicts the "Fearful" buff onto any member of the raid within 30 mtrs of where he lands.
To overcome this debuff there are two procedures that must be followed:
- 1. When Toth jumps to Zorn, both tanks need to switch targets and immediately taunt the other boss. Tanks should remain tanking in the same position 2. Melee DPS should only fight Toth and when he jumps to Zorn they should move over to the new position with him.
With any Melee DPS remaining on Toth the ranged DPS needs to be split between the two bosses to compensate, ie If their are two Melee DPS in the group, they remain on Toth at all times and the Ranged DPS always remain on Zorn, however, if there is only one melee DPS then one Ranged DPS should also remain on Toth whilst the other two Ranged DPS remain on Zorn.
During the encounter the bosses must remain faced away from the party to avoid raid wide damage from a cone damag effect used by Toth.
Also all members of the raid will need to move from red circles that apear on the ground to avoid massive spike damage that will follow shortly after they appear.
As sometimes due to camera angle, the tank tanking Zorn can not see when Toth jumps, it is important that the tank tanking Toth when he jumps calls out switch.
When both bosses are down, a third boss will appear, he has little health and is easy to dps down, his main attacks can be interrupted and at the stage should not cause a problem.
It is reccomended that all raid members should watch this instructional video of the fight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib7Ujz_xy3w
There is more on Hard Mode tactics that I will add to this later.
